U.S. culture tends to look at raising children as a private choice, but Catholic teaching sees it as a valuable gift to the wider society, one which society in its turn has a duty to support. Join St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 28, at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom for a talk that will discuss the view of care for young children in Catholic social thought: how the Church views it as valuable work; how it fits with paid work parents may do outside the home; and how society should support it. Presenter: Kate Ward, assistant professor of theology at Marquette University.
