To: All Priests
From: Monsignor James Schillinger, Director, Ongoing Formation of Priests
Brothers,
I want to pass on to you two resources that you might find useful in these uncertain times. The first is a message from Fr. John McCrone (Newark), the newly elected president of NOCERRC (National Organization for the Continuing Education of Roman Catholic Clergy). The Archdiocese of Atlanta has been a member diocese of this organization for many years. I especially call your attention to “Mental Health Resources for Priests and Clergy” along with the USCCB list of resources for liturgies and prayer.
The second is a newsletter from SLIconnect. As you may be aware, SLIconnect is the online education resource offered by St. Luke Institute. The office of ongoing formation has arranged for a group membership allowing priests of the Archdiocese of Atlanta to have full access to SLI webinars and others resources that provide practical information for healthy life and ministry. There are more than 100 hours of material available and topics covered are highly practical.
The attached newsletter outlines webinars, online conferences and resources that are aimed at providing support while managing the coronavirus outbreak.
Access to SLIconnect is free for all priests of the archdiocese. To register, go to www.sliconnect.org and use the group access code 3471-984. If you haven’t yet looked into SLIconnect, I encourage you to check it out.
Let us be sure to look after and care for one another, and assist one another with our prayers.
