From: Fr. Pedro Poloche, director, Office of Ongoing Formation of Priests

St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary is offering their annual Priest Winter Institute January 25-29, 2026. The workshop topic is “Preaching Matthew’s Gospel.” It will be facilitated by Fr. Kevin Walsh, pastor of Precious Blood Church in Culpeper, VA, who was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Arlington in 1992 and has been a pastor since 2004. (To see more of his extensive bio, here click here.

The workshop will help priests prepare to preach on the Gospel of Matthew throughout Sundays in 2026. Fr. Walsh will share his knowledge and understanding of Matthew’s writings, offering fresh insights to inspire parishioners.

The Institute will open with check-in registration and a pizza social late Sunday, January 25, and close with a Mass and lunch on January 29. Tuition is $695 and includes meals and room.
