To: Pastors, parish administrators and bulletin editors
From: Francesca Lupinetti, programs and support services marketing specialist, Office of Mission Advancement

St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is a vital force for change, providing personalized, neighbor-to-neighbor support that empowers individuals and families facing financial crises. Through the compassionate service of more than 3,200 dedicated Vincentian volunteer members, we deliver essential aid—feeding, housing, healing and offering hope—while fostering community resilience and advocating for social justice. In 2024, we delivered $29 million in programs and services to more than 291,000 Georgians in need. Guided by our mission to “Love and Serve our Neighbor,” we not only address immediate needs but also work with individuals to regain stability and self-sufficiency, ultimately strengthening communities across Georgia.

The following are pulpit/bulletin announcements for the September 20-21 second collection for Saint Vincent de Paul Society. Please encourage your parishioners to be generous!

Bulletin Announcements

English:

Week before the collection, September 13-September 14

Next weekend is the annual second collection for St. Vincent de Paul Georgia—your opportunity to help a struggling neighbor find stability, dignity and hope. Every dollar you give helps transform lives: putting food on empty tables, keeping families housed and delivering life-saving medications. Last year alone, SVdP Georgia answered Christ’s call to love and serve by walking alongside nearly 300,000 Georgians in crisis. Your gift is more than charity—it’s an act of love. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ to those who need Him most. For more information, visit lifeofthechurch.com/donate. Week of the collection, September 20-21

At all Masses on September 20–21, our parish will take up the annual second collection for St. Vincent de Paul Georgia. Rooted in the call to “love thy neighbor,” this collection supports programs that provide food, shelter, clothing and medicine to our neighbors facing hardship across the state. Last year, SVdP Georgia walked alongside nearly 300,000 Georgians in crisis—offering real help and hope to families struggling to find stability. Your gift is a direct act of charity—an opportunity to live out Christ’s call to serve the poor. Please give generously and join us in caring for those who need it most. For more information, visit lifeofthechurch.com/donate.

Week after the collection, September 27-28

Thank you for your generous support last week of our collection for Saint Vincent de Paul! This special collection supports the Conference Support Center, which equips 74 parish-based conferences and over 5,000 volunteers to serve neighbors in need across the state. Last year, SVdP Georgia provided 2.7 million pounds of food, free medications to 23,500+ neighbors, $12 million in financial assistance, and helped more than 11,000 families avoid eviction.

Your generous gift is an act of love, answering Christ’s call to care for our neighbors. Please prayerfully consider how you can help continue this vital ministry of hope and healing. If you missed the collection, it is not too late to give, visit lifeofthechurch.com/donate.
