Discover the Life of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati

To: Pastors, bulletin editors, DREs, high school youth ministers, high school principals
From: Fr. Luke Ballman, pastor, Holy Spirit Catholic Church

Join us on Friday, June 27, for a truly inspiring night with Father Don Paolo Ravaglia from the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Cause of Saints. Following the 6 p.m. parish Mass, Father Ravaglia will share a powerful talk on the upcoming canonization of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati—a vibrant role model of faith, especially for today’s youth.

This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the life and legacy of a soon to be saint. Everyone is welcome, especially youth and young adults. Please help us spread the word.

Suggested Bulletin Announcement:

Discover the Life of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati: Join Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, June 27, to learn about Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati in preparation for his canonization in August. Mass will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a dessert reception and presentation by Father Don Paolo Ravaglia from the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Causes of Saints.

Frassati—a vibrant, adventurous and devout young man—was deeply committed to serving the poor and living out the Gospel. As a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in his hometown of Turin, Italy, he brought food, medicine and hope to those in need, all while pursuing studies, mountain climbing and a life of deep prayer. He died at just 24 years old but left a powerful witness of holiness in action.

His canonization is a moment of great joy for the global church—and especially for Vincentians who walk in his footsteps. Father Ravaglia will share reflections on Frassati’s life and journey to sainthood.

Holy Spirit Church is located at 4465 Northside Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30327.
