  • Download PDF Version available for use with email and print distribution.

From: Jayna Hoffacker, director of Restorative Justice Ministry; Office of Life, Dignity and Justice

Please consider sharing this information with your communities.

House Bill 123, which would end the death penalty for people with intellectual disabilities in Georgia, passed in the Georgia House on March 4 with a vote of 172-0. The bill now moves to the Senate for their consideration.

Take these easy steps to help make sure Georgia stops executing people with intellectual disabilities:

  1. Find your Georgia Senator.
  1. Call their Capitol office number listed on their profile page.
  1. Tell the staff person who answers the phone that you are a constituent and that you would like for your senator to support HB 123 to end the death penalty for people with intellectual disabilities in Georgia.

If you call and are sent to voicemail, simply leave the same message along with your contact information.
