This resource, for pastors (and equivalent clergy leaders) and search committees, offers a guide for hiring a director of music ministries. It details the process, including forming a search committee, drafting a position description, advertising the position, interviewing and auditioning candidates and making the final selection for a director of music ministries.
Webinar Series on Preparing the Exsultet
This is a two-part online seminar series on musically preparing the Exsultet. Nicholas Will of the Pittsburgh Oratory will deliver the sessions focusing on vocal technique, notation competency, interpretation and practical techniques related to successfully rendering and praying the Exsultet. The March 12 session is for singers who have never sung the Exsultet; the March 19 session is for singers with greater familiarity and experience with the chant. Both sessions will begin at 1 p.m. and are free for NPM members; $20 for non-members.
