Take time to rest and renew your heart, mind, body and soul on a silent guided weekend retreat at Ignatius House. Rooted in the 500-year-old tradition of Ignatian Spirituality, this retreat invites you to listen for God’s voice, which speaks directly to each of us. In the sacred silence, you will receive guidance to help you prayerfully discern the movements within your heart—whether they are holy desires from God or distractions from less fruitful sources.
Drawing on the discernment techniques of St. Ignatius, you will learn how to distinguish between these inner stirrings and align your life more fully with God’s dream for you. As you reflect on the beauty and fragility of life, you will gain insight into how to live with greater wisdom, peace and connection to God. This is a silent retreat.

Join us on a silent guided retreat as we pray our way into Lent 2025 and take time to renew our hearts, minds, bodies and souls.
Drawing on the discernment techniques of the Spanish mystic, St. Ignatius of Loyola, and integrating the Christian-informed spiritual vision of bells hooks, we will consider how to distinguish between our many inner stirrings and align our life more fully to God’s dream for us. We will engage in spiritual practices that take us beyond our usual limits, using art, music, imaginative prayer, walking meditation and breath prayer.
Reflecting on the beauty and fragility of life, we will consider how the wisdom of Ignatius and hooks can lead us to greater peace and integrity. This is a silent retreat.

Following the practical wisdom of Ignatian Spirituality, we become aware of the different phases of our relationship, drawing us closer to God and each other. Together and with open minds, we embark on a non-judgmental exploration of our interdependence, navigating the ups and downs of our partnership. Throughout the weekend, you will learn practical exercises and suggestions for personal prayer and reflecting as a couple, which will equip you with the tools to strengthen your relationship and prepare you for the journey ahead.
