Christmas Food Baskets Needed for Seniors. Catholic Charities Atlanta needs Christmas food baskets for 48 seniors living at St. Joseph Place, an independent senior living community. Food items should be non-perishable and suggested items include: fruit cups, Christmas cookies, crackers, applesauce, microwave popcorn, oatmeal, soups, beans, stews or chili, canned tuna, rice, nuts, pasta, tomato sauce.
Items can be placed in a reusable grocery bag or other Christmas decorative bag or basket.
Please deliver the bags to the Catholic Charities office in Smyrna by Monday, December 16. Drop-offs are Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please put your name and contact information somewhere on the baskets, so we know who donated them.
