Exploring Faith and Science: A Jesuit’s Guide to the Stars with Br. Guy Consolmagno, SJ
Friday, March 28, 3 p.m. – Sunday, March 30, 11 a.m.
979 Locust Grove Rd SE, Crawfordville, GA 30631
Join Brother Guy Consolmagno, S.J., director of the Vatican Observatory, as we learn to find God in the universe itself. Brother Guy’s talks will engage both the mind and the heart as he leads guests through finding God in the stars and in the joy experienced by observing the sky. The mere existence of such beautiful stars is a very particular sort of “something” that drives Leibnitz’s famous query “why is there something instead of nothing?”
Heritage is located in Taliaferro County, GA, which is home to some of the darkest skies along the east coast. Our location provides a perfect setting to dive deep into astronomy and explore the relationship between faith and science. Program rate includes four talks by Br. Guy, a visit to Deerlick Astronomy Village, two dinners, two breakfasts, one lunch and extended access to the Retreat at Heritage. This program is open to guests age 18 and older.
