Weekend Retreat: Come to the Water
September 27-29, Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center, Sandy Springs, GA
Directed by Kay Satterfield, MA
To register: https://bit.ly/4cJIrg8

Jesus invited anyone who was thirsty, to receive his life-giving water. Though sometimes our wells are dry, we desire to connect to the source, the river of God’s love. You are invited to journey on this weekend retreat to discover the promised spring that dwells within. The only things needed are an open heart and a listening spirit where deep calls to deep in the prayerful silence. God wants to meet you here. This is a silent retreat.

Weekend Retreat: Caring for Our Common Home
October 18-20, Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center, Sandy Springs, GA
Directed by Dr. Rob McDowell, PG
To register: https://bit.ly/4ecA8um

Pope Francis’s 2015 environmental encyclical Laudato Si’ describes how our sister, Mother Earth, “cries out to us because of the harm we have inflicted on her.” He asks that we change our hearts and minds in how we view God’s Creation by drawing on centuries of Christian spiritual experience and informed by modern science and its assessment of humans’ impact on our common home. This retreat is a deep dive into creation spirituality from the Old Testament to the Gospels to modern thinkers, focused on examples presented in Laudato Si’.

The goal of this retreat is to embrace the Holy Father’s call for an “ecological conversion” necessary for all future generations to enjoy the fruits of the Earth. This is a silent retreat.
