To: All parish staff, bulletin editors, school staff, religious staff and chancery staff
From: Michele Langevin, marketing and events manager, Catholic Charities Atlanta
Catholic Charities Atlanta invites runners and walkers of all abilities to join us on Saturday, October 26, for our annual Run to Serve: Holy Halloween! 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.
Elementary and middle school students will have a chance to win our St. Sebastian Award on behalf of the patron saint of athletes! This award is reserved for the quickest one-mile finisher (K-5th grades) and for the zippiest 5K finisher (6th-8th grades).
The St. Sebastian Award will also be awarded to the Catholic school and the parish with the most attendees, so be sure to spread the word!
In addition to the races, you can join in on the eerie fun with face-painting, cookie decorating, pumpkin painting and balloon animals!
Teams are greatly encouraged. Get five of your friends, neighbors, schoolmates, colleagues or fellow parish members to sign up using your referral link, and you will be refunded up to $20.00!
100 percent of the proceeds will go towards supporting vulnerable and at-risk children who are a part of Catholic Charities Atlanta’s programs and services.
This 5K is a USATF certified course so you can use your time for seeding in the AJC Peachtree Road Race.
Visit our website at https://runsignup.com/Race/GA/Atlanta/holyhalloween for more information.
Thank you for allowing us to advance our mission and enabling us to give back to the Atlanta community!
