To: Pastors, principals, business managers and chancery employees
From: Jordan Harper, Catholic Mutual Group
Due to Georgia Code O.C.G.A. §§ 33-24-19.1 and BULLETIN 23-EX-9 issued by the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire, statutes have been implemented as to how Certificates of Insurance (COI) can be issued to your parish/school.
These statutes apply to COIs provided to you from outside entities such as a contractor, service provider, etc. that obtain their insurance coverage in the standard insurance market.
These statutes do not apply to any COIs issued by or requested from Catholic Mutual.
Attached to this letter is a COI Example which outlines what COIs issued to your parish/school/agency should look like moving forward. Also attached are instructions on what to look for on COIs issued to you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our office.
Sincerely,
Jordan Harper | Claims/Risk Manager
