Christmas is coming, which means volunteers are needed to help Catholic Charities Atlanta (CCA) with events throughout the summer. Volunteers do need to be at least 16 years of age. If interested, please let me know at ccrane@ccatlanta.org.
About Christmas Connections
Christmas Connections is a gift-giving program for Catholic Charities Atlanta (CCA) clients and partner communities and churches. For over 20 years, CCA has provided Christmas gifts to families in need, in partnership with parish sponsors. Christ the King, St. Brigid, St. Joseph, St. Jude and St. Peter Chanel participate in this Christmas giving effort by purchasing three gifts for each child based on their wish list, as well as providing some household items for parents. Last year, over 4,000 people received gifts! Families enroll in the program over the summer and pick up the gifts in December.
GIFT ENROLLMENT VOLUNTEERS
Christmas Connections begins when staff and volunteers meet with parents/caretakers and ask what their children would like for Christmas. Volunteers will be trained to ask for specific gift detail from families, including some demographic information. They will also learn what items are prohibited. Families come to the locations below to meet with staff and volunteers.
