The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is the Catholic Church’s domestic anti-poverty, social justice program established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 1969. Its mission is to address the root causes of poverty in America through promotion and support of community-controlled, self-help organizations and through transformative education.
The funds collected from the annual CCHD Second Collection each November fund community and parish grants for organizations and programs that embody and further the mission of CCHD.
Applications for 2024-2025 local CCHD community grants, parish project grants and parish education/awareness grants are now available to download from our website. These grants will be funded with the November 2024 second collection. Applications are due in the fall, and award decisions will be made at the end of the year.
