Spiritual Wisdom from St. Ignatius and Thomas Merton
Retreat leader Carl McColman invites us to draw closer to God through silent, restful prayer and contemplation. We will look at two great teachers of Christian spirituality: St. Ignatius of Loyola and Thomas Merton, and we will explore how they offer two different, but complementary, approaches to contemplation. Together, Ignatius and Merton invite us to find God in all things, to be still and know and to discover the love of the Holy Spirit hidden in our hearts. This is a silent retreat.

Many of us have felt the profound impact of family diseases of alcoholism and addiction on our lives and relationships. As we struggle through the challenges and hardships, we find ourselves sinking in the “mud and mire.” Yet, there is hope. Together, we can move towards a more positive, fulfilling future. This day of reflection is for those seeking courage and change. We’ll focus on the hope found in Step Two of the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, offering each other “a firm place to stand” as we journey towards healing and wholeness.
