During our weekend together, we will focus on the practice of “Discernment of Spirits.” This involves noticing the patterns of how God works in our lives and discerning the direction in which he invites us to move, thus gaining a deeper understanding of who we are in God’s dream for us. The retreat includes presentations by Fr. Fleming, guided prayer experiences, and time for one-on-one conversations with a spiritual director. Retreatants will explore various prayer methods such as The Examen, imaginative prayer using Biblical stories and breathing meditation. Additionally, opportunities for the sacraments of reconciliation and Eucharist will be available. This is a silent retreat.

Spiritual Wisdom from St. Ignatius and Thomas Merton
Retreat leader Carl McColman invites us to draw closer to God through silent, restful prayer and contemplation. We will look at two great teachers of Christian spirituality: St. Ignatius of Loyola and Thomas Merton, and we will explore how they offer two different, but complementary, approaches to contemplation. Together, Ignatius and Merton invite us to find God in all things, to be still and know and to discover the love of the Holy Spirit hidden in our hearts. This is a silent retreat.
