As we all prepare to enact the “tangible signs of hope” that Pope Francis has called for in the 2025 Jubilee Year, consider joining the multifaith initiative to end mass incarceration in Dallas, Texas, this summer to learn the skills and tools to organize to end mass incarceration.
The annual “Let My People Go” Multifaith Ending Mass Incarceration UNConference leverages the spiritual people power and resources of faith communities to end mass incarceration.
Why UNConference? This year’s gathering scheduled for June 24-26, in Dallas, will intentionally focus on the practical and tactical tools necessary for hundreds of clergy, faith and community leaders, organizers, families and persons impacted by incarceration to go back and engage their respective communities to dismantle the systems and structures that undergird the industry of mass imprisonment.
The UNConference Goals:
- To deepen and weave together more tightly local and statewide networks of people of faith, like-minded nonprofits and those who have experienced incarceration.
- To learn, share and practice skills necessary for making change in today’s world.
- To begin to create a future in which transformational practices are based on the capacity for restoration, rehabilitation and redemption inherent in us all.
