The Archdiocese of Atlanta is seeking an experienced, bilingual elementary principal for a new Catholic elementary school in Hall county. While the school is expected to open in the fall of 2025, the principal will start on July 1, 2024 to begin the necessary preparations for the school to open in August of 2025. Initial grades will most likely include PK(4), kindergarten and first grade. The school will then add an additional grade level each successive school year. The school will be fully accredited through the Office of Catholic School’s district-wide accreditation sponsored by Cognia. The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church who has three to five years’ experience as an elementary school principal. Additional requirements include a minimum of a master’s degree in educational leadership, superior communication skills, strong instructional leadership and a thorough understanding of elementary school curriculum and professional development of the teaching staff. St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (STA) seeks a faith formation administrative assistant, 20-28 hours week, who can communicate on behalf of the faith formation team in English and Spanish. Responsibilities include: Assist in the planning and execution of programs, activities and preparation of materials for K-12, adult formation and special events such as vacation Bible school, retreats, first Communion and confirmation; assist with managing day to day interactions with parishioners, prospective parishioners, vendors, other parishes and STA staff. A top candidate will enjoy creative collaboration and have ministerial, organizational, administrative and communication skill sets. An ideal faith formation programs and events coordinator will have two to three years of apostolate, missionary or parish ministry experience. Cultural competency with Latin American traditions and fluency in English and Spanish is a must. Project management, habit stacking and ability to work proactively are needed. A strong sacramental prayer life and a desire to grow in holiness is essential. Experience with Microsoft Office, Parish Soft and high adaptability is preferred. Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Marietta, is seeking a full-time, experienced co-high school youth minister/confirmation coordinator to serve a diverse community of faith, centered on Jesus Christ. Under the supervision of the pastor, this position focuses on the formation and support of confirmation candidates and upper classmen. St. Joseph has a strong Hispanic community, therefore conversational, written and presenting catechesis in Spanish is required. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic, in full sacramental communion with the church and must be a person committed to prayer and the authentic teaching of the Catholic Church. The successful candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office, be a self-starter and possess strong communication and organizational skills. The candidate must be able to work evenings and weekend hours for youth ministry and faith formation events. The Director of Hispanic Ministry is a key member of the pastor’s leadership team (PLT) and collaborates with the pastor and the pastoral associate to lead St. Michael the Archangel’s Hispanic Ministries in the areas of evangelization, discipleship, faith formation, sacramental preparation, ministry development, worship and social outreach, including activities and events associated with these areas.
