On this weekend, we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the earliest followers of Jesus at the first Pentecost and share in the many graces that such a spiritual movement still has to offer us 2,000 years later. Ignatius believed that while God communicates directly with us, not all our thoughts and feelings are from the Holy Spirit. He developed guidelines to help discern which are. This retreat is rooted in Ignatian spirituality. It includes guided presentations that focus on discernment techniques in the Ignatian tradition, including the use of journaling, imaginative prayer and the Examen. This is a silent retreat!
