Document Film “For the Sake of the Gospel” Premieres on EWTN

On Monday, February 5, at 5:30 p.m., EWTN will air “For the Sake of the Gospel: The Story of the Georgia Martyrs,” a diocese-produced documentary about our very own Georgia martyrs!

This film, produced by the Diocese of Savannah with the support from the Catholic Communication Campaign, shares how, more than twenty years before the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, a group of Franciscans missionaries left their homes in Spain to evangelize and minister to the indigenous people of the South Georgia coasts. Between September 14 and 17, 1597, all but one were murdered.

Following the premiere, the documentary will be available on-demand. Visit thegeorgiamartyrs.org for more information. Rated TV-14 #archatl #Catholics
