Training for new Spanish-speaking mentor couples will be held on Saturday, December 16. The training will equip mentor couples to present the material found in the “Plenamente Comprometido” marriage preparation program, based on the Diocese of St. Cloud’s “Fully Engaged” Inventory and Mentor Couple program. This training will prepare married couples to become effective Catholic mentor couples for Spanish-speaking engaged couples seeking the Sacrament of Marriage.
The training, facilitated in Spanish, will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Chancery of the Archdiocese of Atlanta – 2401 Lake Park Dr. SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. The cost per couple to cover materials and lunch is $45.
Pastor approval is a prerequisite for couples to be trained as marriage preparation Mentor Couples. Pastors should approve couples who are supportive of Catholic teaching on marriage, marital chastity and in a valid Catholic marriage of at least five (5) years.
