For the weekend before the collection – October 14-15
Next week’s second collection is a combination of three second collections: World Missions, the Church in Latin America and the Church in Central and Eastern Europe.
United with the Catholics of the world at the table of the Lord, we recommit ourselves to our vocation, through Baptism, to be missionaries. Our prayers and Eucharistic celebration next Sunday are directed in a special way toward our brothers and sisters throughout the world who are waiting to hear the joyous “Good News” of Jesus.
Our offerings will support the work and witness of those who selflessly give up all for the sake of our Lord and his Gospel—the local priests, religious and lay catechists who daily provide loving service to the poor and suffering.
Please be extra generous, as this collection will be divided between three very important needs.

Weekend of the collection – October 21-22
Today’s second collection is a combination of three national second collections; World Missions, the Church in Latin America and the Church in Central and Eastern Europe. We are called to this Eucharistic celebration—along with Catholics in every parish, chapel and church throughout the world—to recommit ourselves to the call we heard at Baptism, to share our faith, to be missionaries.
Let us pray at this Mass for all who long to hear the hope-filled, life-giving message of Jesus’ love and salvation. Let us offer generous financial help in support of the service of priests, religious and lay catechists throughout the world.
Please be extra generous, as this collection will be divided between three very important needs.

14-15 de octubre: Semana anterior a la colecta:
La semana que viene, la segunda colecta será una combinación de tres colectas para: las misiones mundiales, la Iglesia en Latinoamérica y la Iglesia en Europa Central y Oriental. Lo que antes se recogía en tres ocasiones distintas, ahora se recogerá solamente la semana que viene.
Unidos con los católicos del mundo en la Mesa del Señor, renovamos nuestra vocación, a través del Bautismo, de ser misioneros. Nuestras oraciones y celebración Eucarística el domingo que viene serán dirigidas a nuestros hermanos y hermanas a través del mundo quienes esperan oír la “Buena Nueva” de Jesucristo. Nuestra ofrenda apoyará el trabajo y testimonio de aquellos que dan todo por el Señor y su Evangelio—los sacerdotes locales, religiosos y catequistas laicos que proveen servicio diario a los pobres y sufrientes.
Por favor sean generosos porque esta colecta será dividida entre tres necesidades importantes.

La segunda colecta de hoy será una combinación de tres colectas para: las misiones mundiales, la Iglesia en Latinoamérica y la Iglesia en Europa Central y Oriental. Somos llamados a esta celebración Eucarística—junto a católicos en cada parroquia, capilla e iglesia a través del mundo—para renovar la llamada que oímos en el Bautismo de compartir nuestra fe y de ser misioneros.
Oremos en esta misa por todos aquellos que desean escuchar el mensaje de amor y salvación de Jesucristo. Ofrezcamos ayuda financiera generosa para apoyar el servicio de sacerdotes, religiosos y catequistas laicos a través del mundo.
