2023 National Drive Electric (EV) Week Festival followed by Health & Sustainability Fair

  • Download PDF Version available for use with email and print distribution.

To: Clergy, parish/school secretaries, bulletin editors, social action ministry leaders and creation care ministers
From: Kat Doyle, director, Laudato Si’ Initiative, Justice & Peace Ministries

As part of the Archdiocese of Atlanta’s Laudato Si’ Action Plan, we are called to make smart mobility choices as we care for creation. This directive, along with Georgia’s economic investment in the EV industry, is raising greater interest around electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, as well as general sustainability practices.

Join the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Clean Cities Georgia, EV Club of the South, Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Center for Sustainable Communities and our community partners on Saturday, September 30, for a family-friendly Electric Vehicle (EV) Festival. This event will showcase EVs of all makes and models. Bring your questions, see multiple EVs in one place and get your questions about this topic answered by actual vehicle owners. Learn more about the meaningful engagement of the Catholic Church in our local community and the critical national initiative for clean energy and transportation.

Following the EV Festival, join us next door at the Metropolitan Public Library for a Sustainability & Health Fair with booths providing information and activities about healthy choices, the impact of sustainable choices on health outcomes and sustainable practices in general.

The EV Festival will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Atlanta Metropolitan State College Blue parking lot, 1630 Metropolitan Pkwy SW, Atlanta, GA, 30310. The Sustainability and Health Fair will be held from 3 -5:45 p.m., at the Metropolitan Public Library, 1332 Metropolitan Pkwy, Atlanta, GA, 30310.
