Please join us for a Liturgical Music Workshop on Saturday, July 22, from 9 a.m. until noon, at the Chancery (2401 Lake Park Drive S.E., Smyrna 30080). This free workshop will be in English and in Spanish in Grand Hall B and C on the terrace level.
Michael Accurso, director of music and liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the King, will be presenting the English workshop. Francisco Carbonell, musical director from the Archdiocese of Birmingham, will be in charge of the Spanish portion.
The presentations consist of two parts:
Part I: The Importance of the Sacred Music in the Church Liturgy
Part II: Musical Formation, Music Scales and Music Concepts
Each part is one hour and 10 minutes with 15 minutes breaks. Lunch will be served at noon.
