Upcoming events at Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center as of April 3, 2023

Three-night Holy Week retreat
April 6 at 6 p.m. – April 9 at 12 p.m.
Directed by Spiritual Directors of Ignatius House
Ignatius House 6700 Riverside Dr., Sandy Springs, GA
Ignatius House invites you to step into the mystery of Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection, and to contemplate it as it unfolds over three days. This silent retreat will provide the opportunity for us to experience the mystery from within the story, and as if for the first time. The retreat will include invitations to personal prayer, stations of the cross, the sacrament of reconciliation and the liturgical celebrations of the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil)—all in service of our deepening intimacy with Jesus of Nazareth, whose real humanity hides his divinity for a while, until it is gloriously revealed through the holy effects of his resurrection. Five-night individually directed retreat
April 23 at 6 p.m. – April 28 at 12 p.m.
Directed by the Spiritual Directors of Ignatius House
Ignatius House 6700 Riverside Dr., Sandy Springs, GA
Break away for five nights on an individually directed, silent retreat. Meet daily with a spiritual director, spend time in solitude with daily prayer suggestions for you and choose to participate in daily liturgy. This holy call to go deeper offers a profound experience, whether you are seeking a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, making a significant decision or simply responding to the Holy Spirit calling you. “We need the ability to become ourselves in silence, emptiness, an open space that the Word of God can fill and the Spirit of God can set on fire for the good of others and of the Church.”  – Fr. Adolfo Nicolás, SJ. To register: http://bit.ly/3JY4Utf

Weekend retreat: Experiencing God
April 28 at 6 p.m. – April 30 at 12 p.m.
Directed by Fr. Jeff  Putthoff, SJ
Ignatius House 6700 Riverside Dr., Sandy Springs, GA
Discernment Experiencing God: Our interior movements are understood using St Ignatius’ Rules for Discernment. This guided retreat will make use of Ignatian contemplation, imaginative prayer and the senses to engage in conversation with God. The focus will be on understanding our interiority using the model of Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a means to intimate prayer with God/Jesus/Spirit. We all have parts of us that are sad, joyful, anxious, discouraged, happy, funny and many more. Having such parts are a natural aspect of adult life and sharing such interior movements in a familiar way with God/Jesus/Spirit is what Ignatian prayer helps us to do. Our days will consist of multiple talks and Mass, and there is ample time to pray. This retreat is practical, encouraging curiosity, connection and compassion with ourselves and with God!
