Lenten Day of Reflection and Jubilarian Dinner registration

To: Priests
From: Father Pedro Poloche, STL, JCL, director, Ongoing Formation of Priests

It is difficult to believe Holy Week is just around the corner. As you know, it has become a tradition of our Atlanta presbyterate to gather at the Cathedral of Christ the King every year on the Tuesday of Holy Week for our Lenten day of reflection, the celebration of the Chrism Mass and a banquet celebrating our priest jubilarians. This is always a great day as we come to reconnect with one another. The day away from routine is a welcome break and a valuable opportunity for us to pray and celebrate together as we renew our commitment to the priesthood.

I am very pleased to announce that our speakers will be Fr. Santo Cricchio, OFM Conv., therapist at Holy Family Counseling Center, and Mr. Peter Attridge, clinical director at Holy Family Counseling Center. The title of their talks will be “The Sum of Us.”

Our schedule has changed this year as we have planned a full day of activities. We will begin our time together at 10 a.m. with coffee and fellowship.  Archbishop Hartmayer will make remarks and introduce our speakers at 11 a.m. (Please see the order of events for the day below.) Also, please note some of the events will be taking place in the Hyland Center instead of Kenny Hall.

At the end of our Lenten Day of Reflection, there will be an opportunity to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation. Several priests have agreed to serve as confessors. Instructions for this time will be given after the second talk.

Finally, the Chrism Mass will begin at 4 p.m. (Please note the time change.) Mass will be followed by the banquet celebrating our priest jubilarians with a social beginning at 5:30 p.m.

To RSVP for the Lenten Day of Reflection, Chrism Mass and Jubilarian Dinner, please click here and RSVP for only the events of the day that you plan to attend. We use these numbers to get an accurate head count for the caterer so it is very important that you register online.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Amanda Hailey at ahailey@archatl.com or 678-595-9181.
