Safe Haven Sunday – April 30 & May 1

  • Download PDF Version available for use with email and print distribution.

To: All clergy, religious brothers and sisters, parish and campus ministry staff, school principals and chancery staff
From: Andrew Lichtenwalner, director, Office of Evangelization and Discipleship

We are excited to announce that we will have the fifth annual Safe Haven Sunday during the weekend Masses for Good Shepherd Sunday, April 30 – May 1.

In addition to the booklets and online resources, we will be encouraging parishes to provide promotional cards (English and Spanish) for two separate online programs that help address pornography use/addiction and the wounds that are caused in marriage. STRIVE and Restored Vows are both available online and free of charge. If your parish would like to receive free promotional cards, please submit your order by Tuesday, February 28, via the online order form and call Patrick Metts at 404-920-7643 for assistance.

We know that the use of pornography in the home deprives its role as a safe haven and has negative effects on families across generations. It is our hope that the resources provided to you on Safe Haven Sunday will both encourage and teach all individuals and families dealing with the effects of pornography that loving support is available.

Please contact Patrick Metts, pmetts@archatl.com, with any questions.
