St. Thomas Aquinas presents its 3rd Annual Messiah Sing! With FULL ORCHESTRA and special guest soloists Tuesday, December 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
The audience is invited to bring their own score and sing along with the Christmas portion of Handel’s immortal oratorio, The Messiah. Singing along, however, is optional. Many just want to come to experience the beauty, majesty and endearing charm of some of the best loved music in the world. Anyone who has heard classical music at all will know some music from Handel’s Messiah. It is known all over the world for its surprising inventiveness and classical hit tunes! Come and experience why everyone loves this piece of music so much. The second half of the program is lively and beautiful Advent music that will help us prepare our hearts for the coming of the Christ Child.
The evening is free and open to the public although a $20 love donation is encouraged. Vocal scores for Handel’s Messiah are also available in advance for $12. For more information, contact Eric Alexander, director of music, at (770) 475-4501, ext 119 or ealexander@sta.org.
