It is important for us to understand and develop our particular role as priests in the work of racial healing and anti-racism in our local church. To assist our presbyterate in that mission, a Priest Study Day on Pastoral Strategies for Racial Healing in Our Communities will be held on Monday, February 15, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
The goal of this event is to provide priests with effective, concrete strategies and resources for promoting racial healing. Our panel speakers will engage Open Wide Our Hearts: The Enduring Call to Love and the broader work of anti-racism in our communities through the lenses of encounter, preaching and catechesis.
For questions or more information regarding this study day, please contact Amanda Hailey at ahailey@archatl.com. If you have technical issues with registration or Zoom, please contact Jayna Hoffacker at jhoffacker@archatl.com.
This event has been organized with the assistance of the Office of Intercultural Ministries and the Office of Life, Dignity and Justice. For more information on the work of anti-racism in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, please contact Ashley Morris, Associate Director of Intercultural Ministries, at amorris@archatl.com.
