  • Download PDF Version available for use with email and print distribution.

To: Priests, deacons, religious brothers and sisters, principals, parish catechetical leaders, youth ministers and parish staff
From: Andy Lichtenwalner, Director, Office of Formation and Discipleship

The Atlanta Catechist Conference is going virtual this year! Registration is free for all participants thanks to the support of the St. Paul Center and several other sponsors. The Archdiocese has partnered with Virtual Catholic Conference and is grateful for the collaboration of Life Teen, which is sponsoring the youth ministry track.

Please register at https://www.virtualcatholicconference.com/ACC2020 and invite your catechists, teachers and other ministry volunteers and leaders to do the same. Certification credit will be available for catechists and Catholic school teachers. There are sessions in English and in Spanish.

The conference begins at noon on Thursday, August 20. Pre-recorded sessions and workshops will be available for viewing. On Saturday, August 22, there will be Live Booth Q/A sessions with workshop presenters, with the conference ending at 5:30 p.m.

Please take advantage of this great opportunity for ongoing formation. The conference includes national and local speakers in English and Spanish covering a variety of pertinent topics, including responding to racism, tips for navigating virtual faith formation and teaching, advancing family faith formation, youth ministry, RCIA, and more. More info is available here.

Register today and receive updates as the conference nears. If you have any questions, contact Michele McHale-Pickard at mmchale-pickard@archatl.com. Thank you!

We’re grateful to our Platinum Sponsor, the St. Paul Center; our Gold Sponsors, William H. Sadlier, Inc., Loyola Press and RCL Benziger; our Silver Sponsors, Our Sunday Visitor, Hallow, Covenant Eyes; and several other supporters.
