To: All Priests
From: Monsignor Jim Schillinger & the Committee for the Ongoing Formation of Priests
The next Toolbox for Pastoral Management will take place in the Archdiocese of Newark from March 22-27, 2020.
The local contact for the event is Fr. John McCrone, director of ongoing clergy formation. He is available to speak to anyone exploring this program and can be reached at rev.john.mccrone@rcan.org.
The Toolbox program was initially designed to help new pastors/administrators understand that management skills are essential for creating and sustaining the dynamic and vibrant parish that is vital for living out the Gospel.
The 5-day seminar has received great reviews from priests and pastors across the country (including nearly 40 of our own Atlanta priests), and offers measurable benefits by strengthening critical skills in the areas of administration, finance, and personnel management.
Topics covered include theology of management, stewardship, internal financial controls, risk management, building finance and pastoral councils; as well as standards for excellence from which every parish, and its pastor, can benefit.
All presenters are committed Catholics and not just content experts. They are experienced in presenting to priests and pay particular attention to the pastor’s specific role in the parish.
