From: Tatiana Villa, Media and Communications Specialist, Office of Communications
This update is to provide resources and materials to our coordinators to help you prepare your location for this year’s Eucharistic Congress.
See below for our latest information.
Eucharistic Congress posters will be distributed to all parishes and schools after Holy Week.
The First Communicants will NOT be participating in the morning procession this year.
First Communicants will participate in the procession on Saturday, June 22nd in the afternoon. Children should wear their First Communion attire and be dropped off by a parent or guardian in the hallway between Hall A and the Spanish Suite at 4:30-4:55 p.m. More information here.
The Children’s Track is open to children ages 5 to 10 years old who have a parent attending the Eucharistic Congress. Space is limited and available based on the number of child to volunteer ratio. There is no cost to participate.
Volunteers for the Eucharistic Congress can pre-register their children online. A link will be provided after they register as volunteers. All others should register the day of the event. Participants will be accepted in the order of their arrival, depending on the number of volunteers available for this track. More details available here.
New Teen Track
The Teen Track is new this year. It combines middle school and high school youth (rising 6th graders to rising 12th graders).
All Youth Ministers/Group Leaders and all Adult Chaperones need to register. For individuals who do not have a parish youth group participating, there is limited space available. Please click here for additional information.
STARVE WARS! and Congress Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed for STARVE WARS! and various areas of the Congress. Please use these Bulletin/Pulpit Announcements to share this tremendous need.
Recognizing that our military service members know intimately about the call to action in service to others, we invite active and veteran members of all military branches to join STARVE WARS! Session I at 9:00 a.m. Bishop Bernard Shlesinger, III, an Air Force veteran himself, will be present and will offer the opening prayer.
Eucharistic Congress E-Blasts
