From: Msgr. Edward J. Dillon, Chancellor, Holy Spirit College
Holy Spirit College is pleased to announce a new summer intensive version of its Master of Religious Education (MRE) degree program. The purpose of this program is to enable educators to earn a Master of Religious Education degree from Holy Spirit College through a combination of summer coursework on campus and online coursework during the school year.
“With a focus on principles of pedagogy, assessment, classroom management, content, and more, from the perspective of Catholic classical education, teachers who graduate from our program will be well-prepared to share the true, the good, and the beautiful to students of all ages and in any subject area,” said Holy Spirit College Provost Dr. Eric Wearne. “We welcome current and prospective teachers and school leaders from any school as well as educators working with homeschoolers or others to join us in this program.”
Up to 1/3 of the coursework will be done online during the school year, while the rest will be completed live on site at Holy Spirit College during the summers. Students will be able to earn the degree over the course of three summers and one final semester.
