St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church is presenting a free program on human trafficking on Tuesday, November 27, at 7:00 p.m. in the social hall.
Join us and learn the signs of human trafficking in both victims and perpetrators, how to identify those who are at risk of being trafficked, what to do and who to contact in a situation.
Human trafficking is modern-day slavery and involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. It is estimated that human trafficking generates billions of dollars of profit per year, second only to drug trafficking as the most profitable form of crime. It is a $290 million illegal industry in Georgia alone.
