To: Priests, Deacons, Brothers, Sisters, Principals and Parish Staff
From: Andy Lichtenwalner, Director, Office of Formation and Discipleship
The Office of Formation and Discipleship has launched the next phase of Called to Accompany/Llamados a Acompañar, a training series filmed in English and Spanish for all volunteers who work with middle school and high school age youth. There is no cost for this training series.
This tool provides a parish with the means to train volunteers who are serving in Catholic youth ministry. It features nationally recognized youth ministry experts and includes reflection guides for use with groups or by individuals.
Based on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) pillars of youth ministry, the training builds a foundation that complements any particular parish youth program. This training series has been recognized by the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM).
Volume II of Called to Accompany/Llamados a Acompañar was developed by the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Partial grants from Our Sunday Visitor and The Catholic Foundation of North Georgia supported the first phase of the project. These videos were created and produced by Emmy-award winning Spirit Juice Studios.
We invite you to watch the promo videos for Volume II in English and Spanish.
Videos and resources for both Volumes I and II are available at: Called to Accompany and Llamados a Acompañar.
