The Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne were founded in 1900 by Rose Hawthorne, daughter of the famed novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne. Our apostolate is to care for incurable cancer patients who cannot afford the care they need. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta was founded over seventy five years ago.
On April 20-22, 2018, we are hosting a Discernment Weekend for women who are interested in learning more about religious life and our apostolate. The weekend will include Holy Mass, opportunities for the Sacrament of Penance, tours of the home, time for questions and discussion and visits with our sisters, patients, meals and recreation.
The Home is located at 760 Pollard Boulevard, SW, Atlanta, GA 30315. To RSVP, please contact Sr. Alma Marie, O.P. at (845) 745-1319 or Sr. Miriam, O.P. at (404) 688-9515.
Please share this information in your parish bulletins every week up to the event.
For your convenience we have included a Vocations Weekend flyer as a PDF and jpeg file. You may also view a letter sent by Sr. Alma Marie, O.P., Vocation’s Director for the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne.
