From: Tatiana Villa, Media and Communications Specialist, Office of Communications
Once again, Catholics from the Archdiocese of Atlanta will join together for praise and worship in celebration of the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist at the 23rd annual Eucharistic Congress. The theme this year is from John 17:21, “That They May All Be One.”
The Eucharistic Congress will take place this Friday-Saturday, June 1-2, 2018, at the Georgia International Convention Center, 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, GA 30337.
Here are some reminders and additional information:
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE CHILDREN’S TRACK
Volunteers are still needed for this year’s Eucharistic Congress, especially to help our children grow closer to Christ in the Eucharist!
If you are safe environment cleared and have completed VIRTUS training, please email ocyp@archatl.com to register as a volunteer.
MORNING EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION
The morning procession will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
Priests are invited to wear appropriate attire for the processions. As in the past, we have reserved space for any preparations you may need to make. Directional signs to your location will be located in the GICC. Please assemble 30 minutes prior to each procession.
In the event of rain on Saturday morning, the procession will be inside the GICC and ONLY the banner carrier and two others from each parish will be able to process.
Please note that there won’t be any banners and/or parish groups allowed in the closing procession.
STARVE WARS!
We are still in need of volunteers for STARVE Wars! Please help us spread the word in your parish. Join us on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Session 1 or Session 2 to help pack 100,000 meals for those in Burkina Faso in Africa. Learn more here.

St. Paul the Apostle Church in Cleveland is in search of cassocks for altar servers participating in the upcoming Eucharistic Congress. We do not have enough for the 21 servers who will attend.
They are asking to borrow several from a church or acquire them from a parish that no longer needs them.
