Georgia’s next legislative session begins in less than two months, on January 10. Georgia Catholics Against the Death Penalty are collecting signatures from the Catholics of our state to present to the chair of the Judiciary Non-Civil Committee to urge them to support legislation that would repeal the death penalty in Georgia.
In September, Pope Francis asked all people of good will to mobilize to abolish the death penalty. Now is the time for Georgia Catholics to mobilize for the protection of human life and dignity in our laws.
