From: Nicole Hartman – All Embrace, Inc.
The beauty of life begins at conception. Mothers and fathers are falling in love with that dear little baby in the womb from the second they find out they are pregnant. Unfortunately, we know that one in four pregnancies end in a loss. Supported by their belief of life at conception, parents believe with their whole heart that the baby they lost was real and a member of Christ’s kingdom. We also know that these families are struggling – 70 percent of marriages end after a loss. What do you say? What resources can you give them? How are you prepared to support these families?
Many families are suffering alone and you may not be actively hearing of these losses. As a church we need to reach out and be ready to serve these families. Traditional grief counseling does not work with this type of loss.
Please join All Embrace by equipping yourself and those at your parish with the right tools and words to minister to families facing miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss. Our next clergy training is on Friday, March 20, at the All Embrace Headquarters (1080A Cambridge Square, Alpharetta, GA 30009). The training, open to priests, deacons and deacon wives, is $30 and includes lunch. Each participant will be given a certificate of four continuing education hours. Please register via email at nhartman@allembrace.com.
