2020 marks the 25th Annual Eucharistic Congress!
What better way to celebrate 25 years than to pack 250,000 meals!
In order to reach this goal of 250,000 meals, we are introducing an exciting new element to this year’s event. STARVE WARS: The Prequels will be a series of “prequel” packing events to be held in parishes and schools across the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Have you ever wanted to bring Starve Wars back to your parish? Or maybe you have not been able to make it down to the GICC on a Friday morning? Here is your chance to get your entire parish or school community involved! These prequel events will bring the full meal packing Starve Wars experience to your community and will count toward our larger diocesan goal of 250,000 meals.
If you would like to hold a Starve Wars prequel meal packing event at your parish or school this spring, please contact Jayna Hoffacker, Justice and Peace Ministries Program Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 404-920-7898. She can walk you through everything involved in the event as well as help with event planning and coordination on the ground in your parish or school.
STARVE WARS! is a collaborative effort between the Archdiocese of Atlanta’s Justice and Peace Ministries, Catholic Relief Services, Helping Hands, and the people of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
