St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Church has an opening for a part-time Music Director. Must be available for 5:30 pm Vigil Mass on Saturday, 8:30 am and 11:00 am Masses on Sunday, and one night per week of rehearsal. Position will average 15 hours per week. Candidate must have a knowledge of Catholic liturgy, be capable of playing the piano and singing, and have excellent sight-reading skills and experience directing a choir. Saint Catherine of Siena School, a K-8 school in Kennesaw, is seeking a Director of Admissions and Advancement. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field and easily engage with prospective families and constituents. St. George Catholic Church in Newnan is searching for a new Director of Music/Organist. Responsibilities include a Saturday evening Vigil Mass at 5:00 pm, and two Sunday morning Masses at 8 am and 10 am. The choir currently sings at all Masses. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. The candidate will coordinate the children’s choir with a curriculum from Chorister’s Guild in place. Other responsibilities include all Holy Days of obligation (three Masses each day), Holy Week, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and other activities as requested by the priest. Instruments include an Allen 3-manual Bravura custom organ, 3 manuals, French terraced console design (installed October of 2016), and a Clavinova purchased in 2015.
