Help refugee children navigate the American school system and rise to their potential by dedicating just two and a half hours of your time each week!
Catholic Charities Atlanta is looking for volunteer tutors for our Refugee Youth After-School Program (ASP), which provides academic and social support to 35 kindergarten through fifth grade students at Indian Creek Elementary in Clarkston.
The students recently arrived in the US are predominantly from Burma, Congo, Syria, Afghanistan, and Ethiopia, and have been identified by the school as needing additional educational support.
The program meets every Monday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the school year. We ask that volunteers commit to serve one day per week.
