The Atlanta Catechist Conference (ACC) will be taking place on August 17, 2019, at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center. More information is available at https://atlcatechistconference.com/.
Thus far, there has been a tremendous response, with over 900 parish catechetical leaders and catechists already registered. Once again, the conference is on track to have more than 1,000 ministry leaders in attendance. In addition to workshops and speakers for those who lead faith formation with children, new this year are a Youth Ministry and Adult Faith Formation Track. The popular RCIA track will also be offered again in both English and Spanish.
I am pleased to extend an invitation to you to attend the ACC or to stop by for lunch and a session or two as your schedule allows. Your attendance would be gratis (n.b. – registration info and fees for other leaders are available at https://atlcatechistconference.com/registration/). You are also invited to concelebrate the closing vigil Mass with me.
If you are available to attend, or if a deacon is interested in attending on your behalf, please contact Ms. Destiny Márquez (dmarquez@archatl.com). Please also indicate whether you wish to concelebrate the closing vigil Mass. Your response would be appreciated by Monday, August 12.
I encourage you to ask your parish catechetical leaders and catechists to attend the ACC in order to network with other catechists and to learn from national and local speakers. Please pray for the success of this event and for all who will be sharing their knowledge and expertise.
