To: Priests, Deacons, Brothers, Sisters, Principals and Chancery Staff
From: The Most Reverend Joel M. Konzen, S.M., Administrator
Bishop Ned and I offer thanks to Deacon Dennis and the Eucharistic Congress Steering Committee, along with members of the clergy, Chancery staff, those in seminary and deacon formation, and all others who supplied energy, time, and inspiration so that the 2019 Eucharistic Congress would be a powerful witness of our faith for all in attendance.
Your efforts draw thousands anew each year to experience and celebrate the primordial gathering-point of our Catholic life. The fruits are obvious, but less so is the tremendous effort that is responsible–and this is in the spirit of humble service that animates us in fulfilling the apostolic charge to go forth and make disciples.
May you be blessed with some deserved respite from the intense activity of the days spent exalting the Sacrament of Unity and Peace. And then–and only then–let the planning for 2020 ensue in earnest.
