St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming, GA has an immediate opening for a full time high school Youth Minister. Working under the Director of Youth Faith Formation, this position would oversee the LightHouse Youth Movement and Confirmation preparation program. In an effort to lead teens closer to Jesus, this position will direct a process of dynamic formation which will culminate in the commissioning of teens to radical discipleship that leaves lasting impact on the Church in Forsyth County, GA for years to come. Potential candidates would need to work a flexible, but structured 40-hour workweek that includes frequent evenings and weekends, and occasional overnight stays. You would also be responsible for offsite retreats during the year, as well as team building activities and retreats during the summer. This position would also require the ability to recruit and oversee high school volunteers and adult core leaders. Qualified applicant must be a practicing Catholic with a degree in Youth Ministry, Education, Theology, and Pastoral Studies or have equivalent work experience.
