To: Pastors, Administrators and Business Managers
From: Deacon Dennis Dorner, Chancellor & Eucharistic Congress Steering Committee Chairman
In an effort to control costs and keep our Congress a free event we will not be sending out personalized invitations to the many groups who annually participate in the Congress Liturgy Processions, but we definitely want them to be a part of the Congress!
Please share this invite with the following groups who are involved in your parish community:
Knights of Columbus
Knights and Ladies of St. Peter Claver
Knights and Ladies of the Order of Malta
Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem
Once again, Catholics from the Archdiocese of Atlanta will join in praise and worship to celebrate the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist at the 24th annual Eucharistic Congress. The theme this year is “This Is My Body Given Up For You.”
We would like to recognize the vital service your organizations provide to us by inviting you to join us once again in this year’s Eucharistic Congress processions on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Georgia International Convention Center. The morning procession opens the Congress at 8:30 a.m. and the procession for the closing Mass is at 5:00 p.m. I would kindly request that you wear your appropriate garb for the processions. As in the past, we have reserved space for any preparations you may need to make. There will be directional signs to your location. Please assemble 30 minutes prior to each procession. While you are invited to process into the hall, the recession is reserved to ordained clergy only; therefore, I request that you remain at your seats until the recession is completed.
The Georgia International Convention Center is located at 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, GA 30337. For your convenience, please see the complete list of speakers here.
