From: Monsignor James Schillinger, Director, Ongoing Formation of Priests
Saint Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology Institute for Priests and Presbyterates will offer, “Stoking the Fire Mini Sabbatical,” a program designed for priests at midlife. The program will take place July 8 – August 3, 2019 at the Saint Meinrad Archabbey in southern Indiana.
Stoking the Fire is an ongoing formation program, which features continuing conversion in the areas of spiritual, pastoral, intellectual and human formation. Each aspect is addressed in an integrated and intentional manner. Rest, recreation and renewal are key elements in the four-week experience.
Participants will have access to counselors and spiritual directors, professional health consultation and diet and exercise options. There will be presentations and facilitated conversations on the life and ministry of priests, self-created personal growth plan moving back into ministry and guided prayer meditation on the experience of the aging process.
The fee for the four-week mini sabbatical is $3,750, which includes all room, board and program fees.
Ongoing formation funding is available for this opportunity.
