From: Angelique Richardson, Director, Office of Archives & Records
Please join the Office of Archives and Records for a Religious Archives Workshop on Tuesday, November 13, at The William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum.
This new and collaborative ecumenical workshop, created through a partnership between Pitts Theology Library at Emory University, William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum, Archdiocese of Atlanta and American Baptist Historical Society, will serve as an “Archives 101” for religious populations around Georgia.
The mission for all four institutions focuses on preserving the history of religious populations in Georgia. A part of this work involves working closely with congregations/parishes to preserve their records.
Congregational/parish staff and volunteers from religious communities in Georgia are invited to this day-long training workshop where basic archival and recordkeeping skills will be taught by archivists/records managers from each organization.
