The Office of Formation and Discipleship (OFD) for the Archdiocese of Atlanta has an immediate opening for a full-time Associate Director of Young Adult Ministry. The Associate Director of Young Adult Ministry, under the supervision of the OFD Director, is responsible for providing specialized expertise for young adult ministry and campus ministry needs, with an emphasis on advancing the mission of evangelization and discipleship formation among young adults (ages 18-39). This person must network among ministry leaders and develop, identify and promote resources and models for comprehensive and effective ministry to and with young adults in parishes, colleges and other auxiliary arenas throughout the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, religious education or other related field; a minimum of five years of leadership experience in diocesan or parish religious education/formation; leadership experience in ministry to young adults, especially ministry in multicultural settings and a practicing Catholic with pastoral ministry experience with multicultural content. This person must network among youth ministry leaders and develop, identify and promote resources and models for comprehensive and effective ministry to youth in parishes, schools and other auxiliary arenas throughout the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, religious education or other related field; minimum of five years of leadership experience in diocesan or parish/school ministry to youth; leadership experience, including ministry in multicultural settings; familiarity with NFCYM, Life Teen and Steubenville Conferences and a practicing Catholic with pastoral ministry experience in multicultural settings.
